Right around 6:00 am this morning units from Stations 31 and 41 were alerted for a vehicle accident involving a train in the area of Baltimore Avenue and Ritz Way. Units arrived on scene to find a vehicle that had left the roadway and came to rest on the railroad track. While the vehicle was on the tracks a CSX freight train slammed into the vehicle. Luckily the occupant escaped the vehicle prior to the train hitting his vehicle. One patient was transported to a local trauma center for evaluation.
